Job description

• Core Platform: Build and maintain backend services powering workflow execution, AI orchestration, and productivity systems
• System Design: Design scalable, fault-tolerant systems for concurrent workflows, AI calls, and real-time processing
• Integrations: Develop and optimize infrastructure connecting third-party services via APIs and webhooks
• AI Infrastructure: Build and maintain multi-model orchestration across providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
• AI Pipelines: Implement AI agent pipelines (prompting, context, tool calling, memory, automation)
• RAG & Data: Work with vector databases and RAG pipelines for search and knowledge features
• Performance Optimization: Optimize AI services for latency, cost, caching, and reliability
• Data & Backend: Design and optimize database schemas and queries for high-throughput SaaS systems
• Async Processing: Build background jobs and event-driven systems using queues and async workflows
• Security: Implement authentication (OAuth, SSO), authorization (RBAC), and data protection
• Engineering Culture: Write clean code, participate in code reviews, and use AI dev tools daily
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with frontend, AI/ML, and DevOps teams

Skills & Experience

• Experience Level: 2+ years of backend development experience with Python
• Python Frameworks: Strong proficiency in FastAPI or Flask with production experience
• Database: Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB (schema design, optimization, scaling)
• AI/LLM Integration: Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
• Async Systems: Experience with Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ, or similar queue systems
• API Design: Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, versioning, and system design
• AI Dev Tools: Active use of Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools
• Git & Workflow: Comfortable with Git, CI/CD, and collaborative development workflows
• Problem Solving: Strong debugging skills and ability to work with complex systems
